Yvonne Rempel
Yvonne has built a dynamic career in the arts, focusing on dance and theatre. Her expertise spans sewing, tailoring, pattern-making and designing, each offering her opportunities to refine her craft and express her creativity.
Now a dedicated fibre artist, Yvonne explores new mediums to expand her artistic expression. Her current focus is on silk painting, where she combines vibrant colour and intricate design to create unique works of art. Through her artistic journey, Yvonne continues to celebrate creativity and innovation, drawing inspiration from both her professional background and personal experiences.

Leona Herzog
Leona Herzog graduated with a BFA (Honours) in 1975 and a Master of Arts with a focus on Curatorial Practices in 2012. As Director/Curator of the Buhler Gallery, St. Boniface Hospital, from 2016 to 2022, she created over 25 notable exhibitions featuring contemporary Canadian artists. Recent curatorial work includes Crafting Wellness – mind + body …at a cost, at C2 Gallery for Manitoba Crafts Museum & Library (March – April 2025); and Divergence & Connection at MHC Gallery (April-May 2025), a juried exhibition for FLASH photographic festival.
Leona has served on many arts boards and is currently Chair of the Board of Directors for MAWA (Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art) a national feminist arts organization.
Her art practice focuses primarily on botanical watercolours and fibres. Recent work can be seen in WIN Herbarium’s exhibition Dry Medium VII: Germinate, June 1 – August 17, at the community gallery in the Assiniboine Park Pavilion in Winnipeg.
