Introduction to Tapestry Weaving with Maureen Winnicki Lyons May 3rd 1:00-5:00 pm
An Introduction to Tapestry Weaving is a four hour workshop designed for the beginner to intermediate student. Participants will design a small wall hanging, making their yarn choices from an extensive in-house collection at WOOL MOUNTAIN STUDIOS. Students will learn basic tapestry knots and explore various framing techniques. Students will be able to take home their finished piece and all their tools, enabling them to embark on their own tapestry weaving journey. Please note this class is in a heritage building that is not wheelchair-accessible. The studio we’re using is on the second floor but there is ample, free street parking.
