The most important difference between artistic styles is that each style expresses the creator’s feelings or emotions. A style may be realistic, impressionistic, expressionist, or abstract, to name a few. View the variety of artistic expressions represented here by TFAM partners.
Artist Invitation to Enter: Find a partner, and select a theme (inspired by an image, idea or issue) that speaks to both of you. Each partner is to make a fibre artwork in the artistic style of their choice, expressing their response to the selected theme. Each interpretation can, and most likely will, be very different. The two partners’ artwork must be the same height and width, but can vary in depth. Ensure that any image or idea is copyright free. See: https://www.wallartprints.com.au/blog/9-popular-styles-of-art/ for more detail on art styles. https://www.wallartprints.com.au/blog/9-popular-styles-of-art/ for one theme in many art styles.
Finding a Partner....
Have a partner in mind? Contact each other and submit your Intent to Enter. (Note: each artist must submit their Intent and pay the entry fee.
Want to try something new? Submit your name to be randomly paired with another TFAM artist. This is a great way to get to know another TFAM member. Simply fill in your Intent to Enter and indicate your wish to have your name entered to be paired with another artist.
Don't have a partner yet but want to find your own? Enter 'I have a partner' on the Intent form and in the Partner Name field, enter 'Unknown'. Then just email tfamartists@gmail.com when you know the name.

Entering a TFAM Exhibit
Please remember to:
Complete the Intent to Enter once you have decided to enter.
Galleries require certain information to book shows; the intent to enter provides us with the ability to send out show proposals and book galleries.
2. Complete your Entry Form as soon as your artwork is complete. This is where we collect all the artwork information including pictures. The deadline is May 15, 2024 unless other arrangements have been made.
*** 3. Photos You will be asked to upload two images of your artwork right on the Entry form.
1 image cropped to show the art only – no background. 1 image showing all edges
**Note: Before uploading your images, please rename the image files with your name and artwork title. Example: "Smith John Over the Rainbow.jpg"
4. TFAM needs a short bio for all members. These will also be used in the gallery proposals. If you did not submit one when you joined, please take the time to do so now and email it to us. Just a few words to tell us about yourself, the fibre artist.
