Art Show

Eligibility:
This Art Show is open to all Manitobans, all members of TFAM and all exhibitors/vendors of the Manitoba Fibre Festival 2023.

Criteria:

Height - minimum 12” - maximum 60"
Width - minimum 12” - maximum 40"
Depth: no restrictions
Content/Material must be primarily fibre.
3D artwork encouraged, but must be able to fit within the plinth top which is 12" square.
Maximum total of four entries requiring plinths (first 4 to register)
Maximum Entries: two entries per member for one 3D piece plus one 2D piece or two 2D pieces.
No glass allowed on artwork that must hang.
For hanging artwork, each artist is responsible for their own hanging device. The hooks have a very narrow slot, so we recommend cord or wire attached. The pieces must be ready to hang at drop-off time.
If in any other format, the artist needs to provide a display method (i.e. floor standing mannequin)
3D pieces must be free standing and self supporting…the artist must provide and properly label the storage and transportation packaging, hard sided and generously fit the completed artwork.

Entry Fee:

$10.00 artist fee per entry. You will receive an invoice from TFAM upon completion of the 'Intent to Enter' form.
$100 minimum sale price if for sale. NFS always an option
*Note: a 20% commission is taken on any artwork sold during the show.

Labels and Packaging:

Ensure all artwork and packaging are clearly labelled with the artist name and artwork title.
Each piece should be in a collapsible storage container or storage bag large enough to accommodate the art; labelled as above. These will be stored at the MB Fibre Festival during the duration of the show and used to return the art work.
Artwork cards will be created to display beside each fibre art piece, so a 50-word maximum Artist Statement is required on the Entry form.

Delivering the Art
- information about a a delivery location in Winnipeg will be sent to all successful entrants.
September 9, 2023 - pick up artwork after 4:15 pm at the MB Fibre Festival site.

(Artists must sign out their artwork with a TFAM representative. Art is not to be removed without signing it out)

The exhibit organizers & TFAM Executive, reserve the right to refuse an art piece when it does not conform to the specified requirements of this show. All Exhibit Entry Fees are non-refundable.

2. Complete your Entry Form as soon as your artwork is complete.
This is where we collect all the artwork information including pictures.

   3. Photos
The Entry form includes the ability to upload your images for this exhibit.
Two images are required for this exhibit.
       * One showing all edges.
       * One with no background, only the artwork shows.
Images must be minimum 2 mb in size. If you are not sure, click file properties to view the size.

**Note: Before uploading your images, please rename the image files with your name and artwork title. Example: "Smith John Over the Rainbow.jpg"
